I imagined my life without Junior and I felt so very miserable. Been crying most of the day which is bad for Junior. Most of the time I was able to hide my tears from him but once he came to me and licked my tears away.
I don't know how my life will be without him. He has been one of the sources of joys in my life. I have 2 types of joy, one from the Holy Spirit and the other from Junior. I know for sure that after he is gone that a part of me will die on that day. He is my Best friend the last 8 years. He has been with me through my good and bad times. He made me happy when I was sad. He is my companion and my most faithful friend. I need to change my attitude soon and pretend to be happy. I have not smiled or been happy for nearly a month now and today it took it's toil on me. I need to stop these tears. I need to focus on Christ and lean on HIM. He will take all my fears, worries, uncertainties away. I know that Jesus alone is enough. But my heart feels so torn.
Desiree Garen == For me losing a pet is like losing a beloved family member. I think it is harder on those of us who don't have children. When we lost our dear molly dog after fourteen wonderful years, a part of me went with her. Our lives were so empty that we had to get another dog. We've had Brady for seven years and has helped heal the void from Molly. We didn't replace Molly but couldn't live without either. It is good for the soul to cry and continue the prayers - god is walking by your side. Feel is comfort and know many many people love you.
Thanks for sharing Desiree. I understand everything you say because if imagining causes that emptiness, I can't imagine when reality sets in that one day he is gone. Junior came to me when I had problems with pre-menopause. I was always crying back then because of my empty womb and then he came and took that pain away. I feel that in this house of mine that he is the only one who understands me and feels for me. His unconditional love. Thanks for being there for me Desiree, I felt somewhat comforted. Trully, I need to focus on the MAKER of the universe. He knows everything, why, when, how. I need to put my trust, total trust in HIM. Desiree Garen, the flaxseed oil and quark (cottage cheese) ... I have read a few success stories of dogs that are supposed to die in 3 to 6 months living for another 7 or more years. One of them had 5 years but still they died of old age than from cancer. I am praying that our Lord will choose to bless Junior and keep the cancer in remission until our Lord takes him home. That is the one hope I have right now.
I have been giving him flaxseed oil and kwark (quark) for the last 2 weeks and he seemed so full of live, no stomach acid, no fever. But Sunday and first dose on monday morning I used *cottage cheese* and that's when his fever started (on sunday). Alex bought kwark (quark) again and I gave that and his fever went down straightaway. That's so amazing. But last night he vomitted bile on our bed. That's okay, it's just a matter of washing the sheets and cover. Back to the Flaxseed oil and quark I feel hopeful and am praying our Lord blesses us with added years. Each time I look at him I feel so sorry for his 4 kg (9 lbs) body. Yesterday I needed to talk to someone so I chose to go to a neighbour (they are christians) but the lady said that I should come another time because they were busy with the birds. It would have taken me just 1 minute to say something but ....... with the dutch here one has to make an appointment first before talking to them. This has happened 3 times now with 3 different people. Oh well. With our Lord, I don't have to make an appointment. --Going to cuddle up with Junior on the couch now. Chat with you later. --
Shantana Pandian My hugs to u aunty .... i been thru dis stage... dun worry so much, lets be strong n enjoy our time wif our loved ones... u n junior in my prayers..

My day with Junior - one of the loves of my life
Copied
Today is 1st February 2012. This morning Junior woke up, standing there in bed and I got up straightaway. Brought him downstairs and he peeped outside. Then he and me slept on the couch. Soon he got up and just stood there. He was in pain. Today for the first time he cried in pain. ............. we hoped he felt better. He slept.
Later I heated up his meat and bouillon and added Milk thistle in it.
Today I feel torn, torn within me at the prospects of loosing my most precious love to death. I need to work within myself to let him go to God. God is Almighty, the whole earth and everything in it belongs to God. I will put my total trust in Him that He will take care of my baby dog and take Junior when He is ready.
It's very painful to go through the tough times of a little dog that is said to have cancer. Junior pooped bloody stool this afternoon. We brought him to the garden and before that he shitted dark blackish poop. Then after a run around in the garden, he shitted again and this time it was bloody reddish poop. So we came home and Alex called the vet and he was informed that Meloxidyl (the painkiller) can cause that. He was advised to come get a bottle of another medication that will give a lining to his stomach. I googled Meloxidyl Metaxicam and it says that this can cause a rupture in the stomach .... some dogs get renal and kidney failure. So what's the use of giving him something that will kill him eventually through bloody stool and anemic. What a heart ache. Anyway, Junior at the garden ran like a free animal, not on leash, what I wanted always for him. Run free boy. He came home and humped his toy doll. I told Alex that I don't feel like giving Meloxidyl to him, if that is going to kill him. I read that Budwig's Protocol (1 part flaxseed oil and 2 parts cottage cheese) given to dog's with cancer made them cancer free. I am praying for this miracle for my dog. We also give him Milk Thistle, turmeric and his two meals consist of meat, brocolli and spinach. He enjoys this mix. He is totally not drinking water these 2 days so I add more water to his meat, brocolli and spinach mix. Plus he is very willing to drink the milk. The bloody stool gave us a scare today (according to the vet it's his stomach lining). Anyway, his last poop showed no blood. I just want my boy to die of old age or at the time Our Lord wants to take him home, not by this evil disease.
